We had a few 'firsts' for Ellie in the month of February.
Ellie and I went for a walk on a beautiful sunny day, but instead of sitting in her car-seat as usual, she sat in her stroller like a big girl! She seemed to enjoy it, but as always, the walk stimulated her quite a bit and made the next nap time pretty tough. It seems like one of those necessary things we just have to get through though, because we love our walks!
The next milestone was a big one. . . Ellie moved out of our room and upstairs! Thankfully she did great, because if she had shown the slightest sign that she wasn't ready she'd be back in our room faster than you can imagine.
First Ellie and I talked about where she was going to be sleeping from now on. . .
And then we tucked her in. . .
She did so well! She's taken all of her naps in her room since, and slept upstairs every night. She has regressed a little bit in the length of her sleep, but we'll get back to normal soon (fingers crossed). One unforeseen benefit of Ellie sleeping upstairs is that I'm running up and down those stairs countless times per day! Take that baby-weight!
Congratulations on your February milestones! Give Ellie a hug and kiss for me. Love, Granny Jo
