Ellie's Milestones

Dust off your computer screens (or is it just mine?) for a new post!  Ellie has been developing at such a rapid rate, I've been putting this blog on the back burner for a while and chasing after our walking girl!  

Today Ellie is 13 1/2 months old, and here are some of her favorite things:

• Henry - giving him kisses and hugs, and just loving on his a ton.  It's a good thing for all of us that he has such a forgiving temperament!
• Saying "hi!" to everyone around you.  Sometimes while at a restaurant or at the grocery store you'll say it over and over until the person acknowledges you with a return "hi".  You also like to say it to me throughout the day. 
• My cell phone. You like to hold my cell phone up to your ear and babble for a little while before looking at it and saying "bye-bye". It's amazing how much you pick up by observing our mannerisms. 
• Story time at the library.  You love the stories, songs, and the playtime before we head home.  
• Kisses for mommy & daddy.  This is pretty new within the last few weeks.  You're so sweet about giving us kisses when we ask, and you kiss the phone when Daddy calls.
• Reading. At some point in the day I try to give you some alone play time, without my hovering and directing.  Nine times out of ten you go for the books and just sit and read to yourself for a little while.  I hope your love of books just grows and grows!!

Height: At your 12 month checkup you were 27 1/2"  

Weight: 17 pounds

Shoe Size: 3

Clothes Size: Mostly 12 month, but some 9 month items still fit. 

Diaper Size: 3

Food: We are still working on getting you to enjoy non pureed foods. . . it's slow going in large part because before your 13 month birthday you only had two teeth!  I hope that now there are more (5 currently) you'll start to enjoy solid foods.  You love yogurt, milk, string cheese, and a variety of pureed fruits and veggies.
