Having Mommy Brain is no laughing matter. . . I am always surprised by what I forget these days! I hope that having a monthly review will help me remember the small and big things we've accomplished every month.

January was a big month for our little one!

• Snowshoeing at Vallacito, our neighborhood for a night hike on the blue moon, and to Spud Lake
• Ellie started to really enjoy bath-time. Smiles abound!
• We started the long process of catching up on our social lives by having lunch or dinner with friends (we're still working on this one!)
• Ellie had her second round of shots
• We checked out our Durango Library Story Time and can't wait to go back a second time
• Ellie started 'talking' herself to sleep
• Ellie rolled from belly to back for the first time (video coming!)

At the end of the month we took a family-filled trip to Houston and Dallas where Ellie got to meet her Great Grandma Val, Great Aunts (Kathleen, Marilyn, Jovita) and Great Uncles (Bill & Jimmy), and a few cousins as well. A few days later we flew to Dallas where Ellie got to see her Great Grandma and meet her Great Aunt Debbie, Great Uncle Bud, and some really fun cousins! To make the vacation even better, Ellie also got to see her Granny Jo and Popsy (in Houston) as well as her Nona and Grandad (in Dallas). It was a whirlwind of family and friends (ok. . . and shopping!) and a great way to close out the month!
