Week 23

This week the baby is the size of a large mango: more than 11 inches and weighs just over a pound!

The greatest thing to happen this week is that the baby is now moving forcefully enough that my shirt will move every now and then! No one else has seen it happen yet, but it's becoming a daily occurrence. Hopefully David will be able to catch the baby in the action sometime soon.

At our first ultrasound at the end of May the technician wasn't able to take a picture of all four chambers of the baby's heart, so we went in last week for a follow up. Luckily the baby cooperated, and the tech was able to get a picture without any issues.

Our tech was also sweet enough to give us a few more profile pictures and one picture of the baby's little feet. We were also lucky enough with the timing at one point that we not only got to see the baby sucking his/her thumb, but we could could also see the tongue moving back and forth! The timing couldn't have been better!
